Terengganu

The state of Terengganu is located along the eastern coast of Peninsular Malaysia. This is where one is able to find some of the most beautiful islands in the world where the state is also known for its rich culture and traditions. Terengganu is very well connected with other states that it neighbours with which are Kelantan to the north and Pahang to the south and west. Major expressways come to the state capital in Kuala Terengganu where it is also where the main Sultan Mahmud Airport is located. 

The major towns in Terengganu include Kuala Besut, Marang, Merang, Kamaman and Kerteh, all of which are known for their own specific reasons. While Kuala Terengganu is the main commercial hub of the state, it is through the towns of Kuala Besut and Merang that one can head out to the Perhentian and Redang Islands respectively. This is where one is welcomed by white sandy beaches and sea side resorts which are common tourist destinations here. In Rantau Abang, one is accorded with the option to watch the seasonal Leatherback Turtles coming here to lay eggs. For those who are looking for more peaceful options can head towards Lake Kenyir here which offers one of the most spectacular landscape views around.
