Putrajaya is the newest federal territory of Malaysia. It is located in the Selangor state where it is supposed to be the main administrative centre of Malaysia. Dubbed as the ‘Intelligent Garden City’ of Malaysia, Putrjaya hosts some of the most technologically advanced structures in the country which is where most of the ministries and government agencies operate from.
Visiting Putrajaya is very easy as it is located not far from the Kuala Lumpur city centre with no traffic jams and congestion. All the sites in the city are situated very sparsely which means that one can visit Putrajaya at their own pace. Furthermore, there are shuttle buses that ferry passengers from one place to another which makes it very convenient. Most people would spend a day in Putrajaya to take in the spectacular sights and sceneries around here.
Among some of the main places to visit in Putrajaya include the Putra Mosque, the Putrajaya International Convention Center, the Seri Perdana which is the official residence of the Malaysian Prime Minister, the Diplomatic Enclave as well as the Taman Putra Perdana. Accommodation choices here are somewhat limited where one can stay at the Equatorial Bangi-Putrajaya, Marriott Putrajaya,Palm Garden Hotel, Pullman Putrajaya Lakeside or at Shangri-La Putrajaya.
