Johor

Towards the southernmost tip of Peninsular Malaysia is the state of Johor. This is where the gateway between Malaysia and Singapore is located. Johor is one of the most well developed states in Malaysia due to its close proximity with Singapore being the sole exit and entry point for travellers coming in and out of the country from the southern neighbour.

The state capital of Johor is at Johor Bahru which is a bustling city that houses some of the major structures and the main commercial and entertainment centre of the state. Johor Bahru welcomes people coming in from Singapore each day while housing thousands who travel daily for work. Major cities and towns in Johor include the likes of Segamat, Kluang, Batu Pahat, Senai and Muar, all of which have their own sets of attractions and sites.

Generally, Johor is known for its rich natural resources while it is also popular tourist attraction where one can visit the likes of the Desaru Golf Resort, the famed Sultan Abu Bakar State Mosque, the Endau Rompin National Park, Danga Bay as well as the up and coming Legoland in Iskandar Malaysia.  In terms of hotels and accommodation choices, you can basically find all range of options located around most of the major towns here.
