Genting Highlands

Genting Highlands is known as the City of Entertainment. Located within the state of Pahang, Genting as it is known is home to the only legal casino in Malaysia. Officially called Resort World Genting, it is the most popular holiday destinations among Malaysians which offer just about everything for everyone in the family.

Genting operates throughout the day and it is very common that all the landmarks here crowded around the clock. The resort houses 6 hotels include First World Hotel which is known to be the hotel with the most rooms. All in all, there are more than 50 rides for kids to choose from, 170 retail outlets that include eateries and shopping, convention centre, cinema and many more.

With all that in place, it is not surprising that Genting welcomes millions of visitors each year. In fact, in 2008, it was reported that there were 19.2 million visitors to Genting and this number continues to grow each year. Located not far from the city centre of Kuala Lumpur, Genting offers something for everyone where one can stay at the hotels which are catered to every budget range of budget.  Generally, visiting Genting is very easy and upon reaching there, everything is available and provided for. Furthermore, there are occasional shows at the Arena of Stars that have attracted local and international superstars include Elton John and Richard Marx.
